Pope Francis will become the first pontiff to grace the front cover of Rolling Stone magazine.
The pontiff joins other high profile celebrities who have featured on the cover including US President Barack Obama, Lady Gaga, Amy Winehouse, Snoop Dogg and Justin Bieber.
Pope Francis is pictured waving and smiling on the front cover, while wearing his white gown, with the headline "The Times They Are A-Changin'."
Appearing on the Rolling Stone front cover is the latest accolade awarded to the pontiff who was also named Time Magazine's Person of the Year 2013.
The magazine will be released on February 13
